W Y L D  Food Co Only uses the Australian plants proven by modern science and as honey is a preservative, these infusions are a health powerhouse. The Kakadu Plum boasts more than 100 times the Vitamin C of oranges; the Davidson plum has more antioxidants than blueberries and the humble lemon myrtle leaf has the highest antibacterial properties of any Australian plant.

Christy is proud not only of the honey she produces but also of being able to support the Indigenous communities and bush food producers to continue their culture on country, wild foraging the plants that she uses. She appreciates the reservoir of knowledge that these Indigenous Australian communities have of bush medicine and is passionate about cross-cultural collaboration. Her daughter Alvie- June is a descendent of the DTulua people of the Coral Coast, Queensland and she hopes that she will be engaged in and proud of her cultural heritage.

As bees are responsible for one in three mouthfuls of food we eat, conserving their health and vitality is of utmost priority to W Y L D Food Co. Their hives are kept on the edge of the unspoiled Noosa National Park and showcase its floral diversity in a delightful way. Their honey does not contain pesticide residue and they do not feed sugar syrup, so all their honey is made from the nectar of plants.
